Conducting Solid Waste Management Exposure Workshops under SBM(Urban) for NIUA, MoHUA
ICUC in association with IPCA was engaged by NIUA to conduct 10SWM exposure workshopsin the states of Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir and Rajasthanfor around 400 officials of around 180 ULBs. The objective of the programmeis to create awareness among ULB officials regarding the objectives of Swachh Bharat Mission; improving their understanding about Solid Waste Managementand enhancing their skills to deal with it. Besides presentations, lectures, activities and interaction with the industry experts, practitioners etc., each 3-day duration workshopalso included one day of field exposure visitsto the best waste management practices in the region. The outcome of each workshop was provided to NIUA in the form of impact assessment report.
